Does YabLab read everything I type?

No. Checking is off until you explicitly turn it on, and you can pause it or disable it per site in one click. Text is sent for checking only while it is on, and is never sold or used for advertising.

What is free — and will it stay free?

The dictionary, flashcards, spaced repetition and your error profile are free for good. Daily AI allowances (30 checks today) may be tuned during the alpha as we learn real usage — but a useful free tier is part of the model.

Which languages can I learn?

English, Russian and German are available today — learn English with explanations in your native language, or the other way around. Spanish, French and Italian follow.

What about speaking practice?

It is on the way — and not as yet another chatbot: your spoken mistakes will land in the same error profile and the same drills as your written ones.

What happens when I stop making a mistake?

Exactly what should: it leaves your drills. That is the point — we would rather you outgrow the corrections than depend on them.

Can I get a refund?

Yes — within 14 days. Payments run through Paddle, our merchant of record, so refunds are handled reliably.

Where does it work?

Chrome (and Chromium browsers) today, Firefox next. The web app works everywhere, including your phone.

How is YabLab different from a grammar checker or language course?

Most grammar checkers fix the current sentence and stop there. Courses give everyone the same pre-written material. YabLab saves the words and mistakes that are actually yours, turns them into a personal learning profile, and brings them back through targeted practice and spaced repetition. The goal isn’t just to correct today’s sentence — it’s to help you stop making the same mistake. Your error profile is also a ready-made track of your weak spots — a perfect starting point for working with a tutor.

Can YabLab make a mistake?

Yes. Like any AI-assisted language tool, YabLab can occasionally misunderstand the context or suggest something you don’t agree with. You stay in control: you can apply a correction, choose another option, hide the suggestion, or mark it as not a mistake. YabLab never changes your original text without your action. If you spot a mistake, contact support — we are constantly working on the quality of the service.

What happens when I reach a Free limit?

Nothing you’ve collected disappears. Your dictionary, saved material, and learning progress remain in your account. You can continue using the available Free features or upgrade to Pro to unlock more AI checks, practice your complete error profile, and access the full depth of your learning history.
