These terms govern your use of YabLab — the browser extension, web application and related services (the “Service”). The Service is operated by an individual entrepreneur registered in Georgia (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
YabLab is a language-learning tool: it checks text you write, explains mistakes, builds a personal error profile and generates practice exercises, alongside dictionary and flashcard features. Parts of the Service are powered by AI models.
2. AI output disclaimer
Corrections, explanations and exercises are generated automatically. They are usually right and occasionally wrong. The Service is a learning aid — not professional translation, proofreading of legally significant documents, or academic certification. You remain responsible for the text you send and publish.
3. Your account
You need an account for most features. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old. You can delete your account at any time from profile settings — this removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are sold through Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, invoicing and applicable taxes; your contract for the purchase itself is with Paddle. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime in the app — access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Prices are shown at checkout; local taxes may apply.
- The Founding Member price is locked for as long as the subscription stays active; if it lapses or is cancelled, re-subscribing happens at the then-current prices.
- Refunds are described in the Refund Policy.
5. Fair use
Free and paid plans include usage allowances for AI features. We may apply technical limits to prevent abuse (automated scraping, resale of AI output as a service, bulk processing unrelated to personal learning). Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attack the Service itself.
6. Your content
Text you submit stays yours. You grant us the limited license needed to process it for the features you use (checking, explanation, practice generation) as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t claim ownership of your writing.
7. Availability and changes
The Service is in active development (alpha). Features may change, be added or removed. We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use means acceptance.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is”, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Questions: use the support form in the app profile, or the contact link in the footer.
